Stay here 3 nights on 2nd floor room. As with all hotels in Laos, prices are high and quality is low. The room was windowless, but ventilated with a fan. The room is tiny, basic, functional and not comfortable. A small plastic stool and a ledge in lieu of a table meant the most comfortable way to work on a laptop was the bed.
The room was in need of maintenance and redecorating. Sockets falling out, pipes running along the walls. The bathroom was rubbish. Mold over the sink, just about large enough to showers, impossible to get anything but lukewarm water and with a door with the bottom cut out, letting water into the bedroom. Wifi is patchy, same as everywhere in Laos. The daily housekeeping happened only on the first day, none thereafter.
The reception staff were friendly. Although they were just a bunch of kids who were really just manning the reception.
Location is pretty good for everything and that's the main positive.
