I comment only if I feel the consensus is off base by more than one point.
I give this hotel a 3.3, not a 4.3, as is consensus. but...value for money is good, right in line.
it is a nice, mostly clean, basic hotel.
good staff, good location for its purpose.
but not a 4,3, which implies level of luxury or extra special setting or attributes.
(the receptionist with the young daughter is an absolute delight)
the one negative...interior noise from other guests or staff...nothing is carpeted, nothing softens or absorbs noise....just tole floors that amplify all doors closing, all chatter and other noise...so a bit crazy in this regard. expect to be woken by noise, often. makes the not inconsiderate street noise seem tame.
ps...to owners or management, if you read this....the good news is, this problem is easy to fix: 1. speak to your staff about not socializing in stair wells, 2. add a small rug each floor...even a wall tapestry, your local markets have many featuring local ethnic art!
