Very disappointing hotel, considering its high rating by others. Our room was stifling hot and noisy. We had a balcony overseeing the pedestrian street. Which seemed good at the onset, but the sun poured in until well after 21:00 overheating the room for the entire night. The only option was to open the balcony door to let in some breeze. Unfortunately it let in the street noise of motor bike traffic and, later at night, cars with loud stereos and party noise from down the street, not to mention cigarette smoke from the neighboring balcony. The bed was comfortable, but it didn't do much to offset a sleepless night. And to cap it off: a non-functioning television.
There was some shopping on the street, but mostly everything closed down by 7 PM. The hotel restaurant was OK. It's proximity to Schippol was convenient.
