We checked in and the room was a different room that we had reservations for. They did not speak almost any english so they could not understand this and told us to wait until the next day to move us. (it was 9 pm). Then we discover the room was cover in small bugs. EVERYWHERE. The air conditioner doesn't work properly. Then the mattress was the worst ever. Complained about this, they changed the mattress at 9 am. But it was identical. The pillows were super small bags of old cotton balls. And they said they only had this kind. We had to move to another hotel that day or our vacation would be ruined. They agreed to give us our money back and only charge us for one night if we left before 12 (it was 11am). They did not want to give us a receipt or anything written down, and since they spoke no english it was impossible to do anything about it. (now we only have emails from the property manager as proof).
It has been a month and we still haven't gotten our money back, the property manager, Tran Thanh Tu, keeps making excuses and sending emails to Agoda, when we keep explaining that we made the reservation via Hotels.com.
I have called the hotels.com customer service, but it has not been solved yet, hopefully I will get my money back :S
