Must experience this Historic Lodge. Wonderful owners with a quaint restaurant. Enjoyed our stay!

10/10 Exceptional

It was unique because it was an old historical lodge. Everything was clean and staff was super nice.

Owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. Bar and restaurant on property next to lodge. Great location to visit Wrangell-StE NP.
Inge, 2-night trip

Three amazing days of using the lodge as a base for motorcycle riding. Perfect location for day trips dual sporting.
Andrew, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

It is the oldest roadhouse in Alaska. The property is rustic, which adds character, and most spotlessly clean.
Gabrielle, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Very nice and spacious cabin, with private bathroom, great breakfast options served in a typical restaurant, very attentive and kind staff. The downside was the size of the bathroom, which was very small, but there was plenty of heated water at a good temperature.

We had a good stay. Very clean and comfortable. There was a little confusion with booking upon arrival due to something eith the 3rd party booking site, but they were really nice and helpful and got it sorted for us. It was just what we needed for a quick overnight rest along our way.

Just need to remember you share a bathroom with others staying there. Bathroom is clean and nice not very good pressure. The beds are squeaky.

Unique place to stay. Loved the atmosphere.

6/10 Good

I think you need to understand the history of the lodge before you stay there. My room was in the first floor and the only room with a private bath. I could hear every word the staff was saying outside my room and the room above me I could hear every snore.

Rustic property
This is a rustic property. The owners are very nice and helpful. It’s nice to have a restaurant on site, but it’s not inexpensive. The cabin itself is old and very tired, but the bathroom was remodeled which was good. It was nice to be right on the river

The area is very poorly maintained and the cabin condition was a bit below average.

Very old. As expected. Lodge was nice. Shared bathrooms were clean and easily accessible. Guy across the hall snored so bad
Wendy, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Unique and authentic, cabins and lodge are well maintained and very comfortable. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Beverly, 1-night trip

Friendly folks
Friendly small town with a historic roadhouse. Prices are very high in Alaska, so this was a cheaper option. The shared bathroom is challenging in the morning. However the bar next door is a great way to mix with fellow travellers and locals.

good place for 1 night, very friendly personnel
