Templation is a wonderfully maintained boutique hotel very conveniently situated for visitors to Angkor Wat -- it is just 4 km (2.5 miles) from the main temple. We found the staff to be extremely hospitable, arranging tuk tuks and bicycle rentals rapidly and for reasonable rates. A bicycle ride to the temples of Angkor Wat and Bayon is very easy and highly recommended, as is Hotel Templation as well. It is a pricier option than many others in Siem Reap, but the convenience and comfort made it worth the splurge in my family's opinion.

Templation is a wonderful hotel if you want a bit of peace and quiet outside of the bustling downtown Siem reap. It's a short tuktuk ride into downtown and close to the Angkor Wat temple complex. Breakfast was also delicious. The pools are unheated but pleasant.
