The staff provided excellent service. The hot springs were beautiful and relaxing. Both the dinner and breakfast meals were plentiful, served in a nice semi-private setting, and offered items that were unique. My only complaint is that there was an unpleasant smell in the area. I believe may have been sulphur from the hot springs. It was not only at the property, but also at other places we visited in the area.

Hotel was good, about 10 minutes drive to the bus station to Kamikochi. The osen is probably the best feature of the hotel. Breakfast was disappointing compare to other Japanese styled hotel we been at. We booked the room with breakfast and was given a western style breakfast, we wanted the Japanese breakfast but couldn't communicate due to language barrier. One other downside was the wifi, never worked for us during our stay. The wifi was not password protected but none of our mobile devices were able to join. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel.

Hotel vecchiotto ma con onsen stupende immerse nella natura, camera con tatami ampia e con balcone vista cascate/montagna, posizione letteralmente in mezzo al nulla (si raggiungono a piedi okuhida bear park e paesino vicino con mercato mattutino molto tipici, per il resto servono i bus che sono abbastanza cari e poco frequenti), scarsa flessibilità dell'hotel nel farvi fare check in prima delle 15 (anche se quando siamo arrivati l'hotel pareva mezzo vuoto, stava diluviando e senza auto non si hanno opzioni), cena kaiseki buona ma migliorabile, colazione assolutamente non consigliata (sempre kaiseki). Nel complesso consiglierei questa struttura solo se avete un auto, in caso contrario lo sforzo per arrivare non vale la pena
