Very cute and hip, in a great part of Durham. EXCELLENT staff, friendly and engaged. Some surprising shortfalls given how wonderful everything else was - in our interior (no windows) king room, the TV was mounted to the wall to the side of the bed, rather than directly across from it; breakfast in the downstairs bar/lounge area ran out of food items, service in the third floor restaurant (where we opted for brunch since we couldn't get what we wanted downstairs) was glacially slow, still VERY FRIENDLY, but we were seated just after 10 and served at 11:15.
My wife's comment "It's as if it's a posh youth hostel..."
