The receptionist that checked us in was rude & not ethical with check in protocol. A complaint was made to the managers & this was immediately corrected: efficiency on the part of hotel management . Things were put in place to make our stay enjoyable. Kudos to the hotel manager Ms. Valentino

Barra is a little further away from the main attractions of Rio however, it is extremely clean and safe and close to huge malls where there are great restaurants and you can walk around for exercise

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had issues with the room initially and the supervisor quickly resolved and was very friendly. The whole staff was great, especially Romario, who was very helpful throughout our entire stay. There are nice shops and restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast was amazing. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Brazil.

Poor - from checkin to departure.
This hotel has a nice lobby area and breakfast is good. Check-in was a nightmare and the staff did not seem at all bothered about shortening the line (I was in front and it took 30 mins). The rooms and floors are poorly maintained and not very clean. Towels are washed out and thin, and the water is lukewarm in the shower. Never again.

The hotel has three basic issues: 1) Bad construction of the bathroom creates a flood with every shower, even using just the handheld. 2) Strong odours, our bathroom, after having requested a room change, smelt like a dog had recently been groomed. It is a pet friendly hotel, that’s positive, but several other spaces in the hotel had unpleasant odours. 3) Lack of hotel management presence, too many minor details that some good leadership would resolve. Apart from that, helpful and friendly staff, in particular the front desk and great quiet location.

O hotel tem um astral maravilhoso. Tudo funciona bem! É o tipo de lugar que fazem tudo pra agradar vc. Logo na chegada, tem mate, água aromatizada e caipirinha de coco lhe esperando. A maioria dos funcionários é bem simpática e atenciosa. O café da manhã é excelente e o restaurante, além de bonito e agradável, funciona muito bem com pratos gostosos, pizzas, sanduíches, drinks e vinho. Pra quem quer ficar pela Barra, o ponto é ótimo. Em menos de 10 minutos por um caminho agradável, chega-se na praia. A academia é boa, a piscina satisfaz e ainda tem um rooftop bem bacana. Ainda tem um centrinho comercial bem na frente com supermercado, restaurantes, lanchonetes… Volto sempre!
