I had booked a room well in advance, got a confirmation number and assumed all was well. We called about an hour and a half before our arrival time, and was told all was fine. We showed up only to be told they actually didn't have a room open and we had to find a new place to stay, but they would allow us to stay in a different room for the one night only. My job requires my phone be on me at all times, and they claim to have called multiple times, which was false (remember, we called them an hour and a half before to confirm we were coming and got NO word we didn't have a room... Or we wouldn't have gone there!!) The room was outdated(there is not flatscreen TVs as claimed), the fridge wasn't plugged in and the whole area smelled musty. Stick to staying in a chain hotel or motel, where they may just have their life in order a bit better so you're not in a lurch with no place to stay.
