Booked a room with a lake view - was not disappointed. Beautiful view of green grass and the lake. Odd check in times (10 am - 2 pm), but even though we arrived late, the owner was kind enough to check us in at 7:30 pm. Without the navigation system in our Volkswagen Touran, it would have been difficult to find the hotel. The room had a small kitchenette, which was very nice. It had a "dormitory" sized fridge/freezer, a two burner electric cook top, a sink, and some small appliances. However, no supplies to make coffee or tea were provided. Also, bring your own ice trays if you want ice - we were able to make 4 small trays of ice overnight. Even though there were 2 restaurants, 2 cafe/bars, 1 bar, and one cafe in Drobollach, only the bar was open at 8 pm - we had one adult beverage before leaving because the cigarette smoke was so strong - apparently, you can still smoke inside public places in Austria, at least in the small towns. Read the fine print when you book - we thought the hotel was going to cost a certain amount for the night, but there was an additional cleaning fee and additional tax, resulting in an ultimate room rate that was nearly twice what we thought it was going to be! Bring cash, because credit cards are not accepted.
