You definitely get the Costa Rica experience staying at this hotel. Great price, within walking distance of the town/ restaurants. Clean pool, rooms and plenty of wildlife within the facility. There are plenty hummingbirds around the bushes by the parking lot.

Hard to find good places in La Fortuna during busy season. Everything is either booked or overpriced. The price here was good but the room was old and shower water was not hot. Location was good

Room was large and comfortable. Food was excellent, bird watching was very interesting. Other services including a cold pool and a pool table were available but we haven't used it. A nice place to stay. Tours at reasonable prices are also available.

Loved breakfast (not included) and bird watching in the mornings, the sloth tour with Armando offered through the hotel was amazing and well worth the price. Location was great, short and safe walk to town (bring a flashlight or phone light). Beds weren’t the best and the sheets were musty but we slept so well and weren’t bothered by any noise.

Fantastic place! Tucked away on a dead end road, so very quiet, with wonderful views of both the volcano and great bird watching at the bird feeding stations. We can’t recommend the Sloth tour with Armando enough. Make sure you do it if at all possible!

Lovely view of Arenal volcano from the dining area. Definitely have the reception desk book all your excursions and transportation for you. They are very helpful and can get you good rates. John was very helpful in making travel arrangements for me. Just 3 short blocks from central zone of town.

Muy recomendable
Me gustó mucho quedarme en Arenal Xilopalo. ¡La vista del volcán desde el restaurante es espectacular! Tienen muchísimas opciones de paseos en la zona. La experiencia de ver perezosos con Armando fue increíble, pues el guía no solo era amable, sino que también tiene muchísima experiencia y conocimiento sobre la fauna de la zona. Aprendí muchísimo con él. Al día siguiente hice el tour por el parque de puentes colgantes, la caminata en las faldas del volcán, la cascada y el río de aguas termales con Marco. No solo fue un paseo muy bello, también fue interesantísimo, pues Marco es biólogo y está muy involucrado en la conservación de la zona; sabe todo sobre el volcán, su hábitat y su evolución. Es un naturalisata comprometido 100%. Me siento muy afortunado de haber conocido a Armando y a Marco, garcias a la recomendación del staff de Xilopalo.

Très agréable
Coup de coeur de notre voyage. Un hotel en ville mais en lisière de la nature avec une salle de restaurant qui permet d'admirer l'arenal au Pdj. Un personnel sympatique et un établissement original et fait avec goût. Chambre propre et très confortable avec cafetière en petit plus.
