Quaint certainly describes this guesthouse. However, the host, Tomoya-san, is outstandingly hospitable, knowledgeable about Kamakura and his command of the English language is remarkable, considering I was in Japan. After a little misadventure in another city, I was more than a little late checking-in but Tomoya-san was very accommodating, and even offered to keep my luggage the next day after check out so I could explore Kamakura, as I was only passing by for a day. The next day, he made a traditional breakfast for me to enjoy and told me about the history of Kamakura while helping me map out my day in order to make the most out of it. Thank you for making this part of my journey memorable, keep on embodying the Japanese samurai spirit!
