Great location, clean but unfortunately we were onthe street side for 3 nights. Was load but didn't really bother us (earplugs for us) but the Friday the street noise lasted past the usual midnight until 4:30pm. So if they give you a room at the front request a change unless you are one of the ones partying lat into the evening.

6/10 Good

Over the two days we stayed at the hotel we got used to the idea that we had to climb a ladder to get into our room. While my wife and I are healthy enough to accommodate such a entrance into the room, I'm sure there are numbers of people who would not be able to accommodate this. The location is extremely handy, and the hotel does provide a breakfast with a stay. Alternatives for breakfast are but a few steps from the door. Probably not a recommended stay for somebody over 55.

Average
Reception was friendly and breakfast average. Near many attractions. Room was however quite stuffy and in the extreme heat no fans available or proper ventilation

A LOT of street noise if you have a room facing the street. Rooms are uncomfortably hot during summer warm days. (No fan, or AirCon.) Friendly staff, and great location 5 minute walk from Centraal Station.

Old but well located
Hotel is centrally located, very close to the Old Town and the main train station. Room was a bit dated, but bathroom was completely renovated. I got a room in the back so it was not too noisy, but the street in front is one of the busiest of Amsterdam.

Expensive for what it is, but great location!
Expensive for a very dated hotel, but all hotels in Amsterdam seem pricey now. Close to train station and a walking distance to tram. Average but solid breakfast. Decent place for a short stay in Amsterdam.

4/10 Fair

Very sad. We changed rooms due to the noise outside. The room we changed to had a window that did not open and no air conditioning. Very stuffy and miserable hot. Other issues: The vent leaked during the rain. Breakfast was okay, but we were told we could not bring our coffee to our room, although coffee was not provided in the room. No blow dryer provided. I had to go to the front desk to borrow one. No hooks to hang towels. No bath mat. The woman at the reception desk was lovely. She tried her best to accommodate us. But, I would not stay here again.

Situated in an old, somewhat run down building in the red light district of Amsterdam. There was a lot of noise outside our room of people partying which continued past 1:00 am. Our room faced the street and perhaps another room would have been quieter.

A budget hotel that punches above its weight
Nice cheap hotel in a great location. Room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The bathroom was newly renovated as well. Staff are friendly and free breakfast is very hearty. Some parts of the room were dated, and the elevator doesn’t directly serve all rooms. Overall, it was a great experience!
