This hotel is so characterful, with lovely Chinese interior designs. We had a room with the cutest tea preparation set (automatic water filling kettle and traditional tea rinsing platform, together with free loose leaf tea) and beautiful bathroom with see-through glass window and peony-design wash basin. Beds are very clean and firm, probably too firm for some, but i loved it and its said firm beds are actually healthier for your back. They have a menu where you can order special pillows e.g. lavender pillow. They give you free fruit and biscuits in the afternoon, it was a lovely surprise when we returned. The staff are also very friendly, despite not knowing too much English. Breakfast has a lot of options, mostly Chinese-style food, which is great. The dinner in the evening is only 78 yuan, all you can eat and all you can drink alcohol (beer, red wine and spirits) and soft drinks. Downsides: a bit noisy if you are facing the front of the hotel, where elderly people make noise in the park opposite. Ask for a room facing the back on a higher floor.
