I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience, but I want to take a moment to highlight the exceptional service provided by Amanda at the front desk and Shanell, the cook.
When I arrived at 9:30 PM, I was eager to settle in after a long day. Unfortunately, the room I was assigned had no heat, despite being told several times that it would warm up. Unfortunately, it never did. After a long, cold night, I had to request a room change the next morning. At 8 AM, I moved to a second room, but again, it lacked heat. By 9:30 AM, I was moved to a third room that finally had heat, which was much needed since the outside temperatures were below 20°F.
Despite the inconveniences, Amanda and other staff were incredibly kind and understanding throughout the process. They did everything possible to make sure we were comfortable, Shanell, the cook, also went above and beyond to make sure I had a satisfying dinners to end the day. Her friendly attitude was a welcome boost during a somewhat frustrating situation.
Other guests mentioned they had similar issues with heating in their rooms, and while they were given extra blankets and portable heaters, none were offered to me on the first night. When I inquired the next morning, the staff explained that the maintenance man wouldn't be in until 10 AM, and heaters were available if needed.
