Check in was stated to be 2-4.30pm so I arrived at 3pm. The entrance (gate) was locked and for 10 minutes I waited patiently, ringing the bell regularly, with no answer. Over the next 3 hours I called the number, which is on the booking & by the door, many times. Twice early on it was answered and I was told that someone would be there soon. They weren't. The other times the number was busy or unanswered. I called hotels.com who also couldn't reach them, and they started to search for alternative accommodation for me, though after over 40 minutes that call dropped. All that time, over 3 hours, I was waiting at the main entrance and not one person arrived or left the complex, it seemed to be closed, and it started to get dark.
Finally a man arrived. He was pleasant and while I waited at reception he went to prepare what he said would be a nicer room than the one booked. It was okay except that there was a hole in the kitchen sink that meant that water flowed into the cupboard underneath. I messaged the management, as the staff had again left, but no reply from them, and nothing was done. I used the bathroom sink instead of the kitchen sink for the rest of my stay. The problem was clearly not new from the mess in the cupboard. The wifi offered in compensation at check in was only accessible from near the pool, not from the room or its terrace. I never got any response or apology from management
I regret booking here, there are many better run, nicer & cheaper apartments around.
