We stayed in a great, modern room with full kitchen and porch along the pool (last time it was with a private balcony over looking the pool). Room had all we needed and we were treated by all of the hotel staff like VIPs. Location was safe and walking distance to the Puebla area. Breakfast was good, but not spectacular (we are vegetarians, so this may have complicated things for them)
What most disappointed us about our stay was that the electricity was turned off at 7am (the day of our departure). So that meant no lights, no media, no WIFI, and worst, no water for coffee, toilet flushing, or showers! It was due to some maintenance being performed by the city in the area, so out of the control of the hotel. But we were only told about this via text at 10:30pm the night before. In any case, the staff really did their best to help us work through the issues with buckets of water pulled up from their well. But this serves as a cautionary tale for those choosing to stay in a hotel without a backup generator system.
