Decent for the price
Clean bed and showers which is all you really need. They were doing construction but you couldn't really hear it.

Good value
Check in was easy and smooth. The room itself was good for the price, clean and comfortable, all I needed for my 1 night stay. It’s well located in the town, just a very short 5 min walk to the train station and bus stop to go up to Machu Picchu.

It is an OK hostel for short stay
If you are looking for cheaper and shorter stay this might fit you. If you are planning for longer stay of 2 or 3 days then you could spend few more bucks and get a better one. Rooms are satisfactory. Outside (public) bathrooms are very dirty, no water, lot of bugs, mosquito's. Staff does not have anybody English speaking, very hard to communicate. Should be a 3 star.

Good value for money
PLUS: Location is great! Breakfast was ok. Room size was good. The hotel kept my luggage free of charge for 5 days when I went to Maccu Picchu. MINUS: Cuzco can be a cold wet city. Unfortunately, the hotel and rooms were very cold! No heating and that was a major downside. No WIFI in rooms, which meant that there were large numbers of people in the communal areas and this made some nights quite noisy.

no charm or coziness.
Nowhere nice to sit or relax indoors or out. Busy restaurant below made for a very noisy night, with windows that opened right onto stairway and halls. Weird hospital feel to room and bathroom. Breakfast was practically nothing, and staff, while not unfriendly made no effort at all.

Close to Machu Picchu Bus Line
I think this place may have recently changed ownership? A young man checked me in, didn’t give me details about the property, my reservation, nor my room. The room wasn’t very clean and I was scared to touch anything (upon check out I left behind my pjs, my own towel, pretty much everything that touched a surface.) I had to call reception to ask them to empty my trash as it was full to brim upon check in, the toilet seat had urine marks, the bed sheets were stained. I only stayed bcs I had traveled all day and was planning on sleeping four hours before heading up to Machu Picchu.

No-frills and don't recommend
Was seeking a no-frills budget hotel and this one looked ok and a king bed was available online so I booked it. They didn't have a king bed available and ended up with double +single room instead which wasn't great. The shower didn't have a curtain so water ends up everywhere and you need to clean it up or you track it around the room. Hotel ran out of hot water on 2nd morning as I woke up later than first day. The breakfast consisted of 2 buns margerine & jam with coffee & juice (very basic). The balcony door didn't lock and was accessible via the staircase so I had to block it with a chair against the door from the inside to prevent it from being opened from the outside while I was away (not that I was concerned about theft but better to plan ahead in case). Also, the sliding balcony door glass was broken with jagged glass dangling precariously & dangerously from the frame and if I was travelling with children I would have asked for a different room (this was already my 2nd change of room). Rooms at the back face into a courtyard which is noisy at night so I recommend ear plugs if located there. Overall I would never stay there again and recommend the owner do a spot-check and fix what's broken and doesn't work. On the plus side, the beds were very comfortable.

It was ok!
It was great value for your money and clean however, even tho the television was reported broken 2 days before we arrived we were still placed in the room without being notified. Also the wifi was very intermittent and poor. The noise also woke us up through the night as the windows were so thin!

I would return here.
This hotel is a small boutique hotel that has a great bed, bath, TV and balcony. It is attached to a restaurant that has very friendly staff and very good local food. I recommend the Creamy quinoa soup. You will be surprised as they make everything from scratch. The hotel has no frills which means the towels are less than basic and there are no extra toiletries or water. Other than that it was a delightful experience.

Autre conséquence a notre refus?
