Positives:
- Great prices
- Dedicated roadbike parking area inside the lobby area if you're cycling around Izu
- Dinner buffet: Great sashimi and sushi, extensive Japanese side dishes, and a small (but appreciated) selection of Western food for those afraid to venture. Drink buffet is exhaustive for both soft drinks and alcohol. Includes locally-grown-and-brewed orange liquer as well as sake - hot or cold!
- Breakfast buffet: Low on Western staples like bread, cereal, eggs, and meats, but has enough to get you by along with another wide selection of Japanese dishes.
- Room sizes are large
- Hot spring facilities are good, including a very nice outdoor bath area, with water that isn't too hot.
- Massage chairs, vending machines are plenty and affordable(soft drinks, snacks, ice cream, alcohol), an arcade game area, karaoke rooms.
- Great staff.
- Recently renovated and repainted - both exterior and interior are very nice looking now.
Negatives:
- The beds are Japanese-firm, coupled with the thin, small, and stiff pillows. Left me with a kink in my neck in the morning.
- Almost no electrical outlets in the room, and zero were near beds. Inconvenient for phone charging.
