Meh...stay next door.
Meh..tired property with bare bare basic furnishings.. chargd us a $10 parking fee that they did not list beforehand. What a joke. They had 100+ empty spaces..Ditto for the $6 upcharge for a.lame excuse for a breakfast which, it tuns out, was already included. We stayed at the place next door last year. A far better experience for a small cost difference. Stay there. And no, we won't be back.

We were traveling to Fernandina Beach to hear our son(Jon Shain singer songwriter) play at a marvelous venue- a bookstore-cultural center, Story and Song. When we first arrived at Ocean Coast Hotel, my first impressiion was that it was a tired, has been motel. But the room was immaculate, with comfortable bed, linens and pillows. No old rug on the floor. The bare wood was clean - I am a stickler for that. And the location is around the corner from the beach. The value is quite good!

The bed was comfortable and the location is great! Our room could use lots of updating and repairing but for the price, I would stay again. There is a pool and hot tub. Sliders, the beach, a juice shop, and Hammerheads bar is within walking distance. We will be back!

The hotel overall was pretty decent. Some of the people at the front desk were nice and some were slightly rude. I didn’t like the fact that they only charged some guests a $10 per day parking fee. I didn’t understand why the fee wasn’t for all guests if they were going to charge.
