Called the local host when we arrived in the area, she was not interested in helping us, she said that she was not feeling well and gave us a number to call in France. When we called the number in France, a man answered and he quickly realised that he double booked the property - even though we booked and paid in full for the booking more than 2 months in advance! He then refused to help us any further. We then spent the rest of the evening on the phone to hotels.com trying to find alternative accommodation. We chose this self-catering apartment with swimming pool for a family holiday and instead, because of the host's inability to manage bookings, we ended up in a city centre hotel room with basic amenities. What a disappointment. This is our first time using hotels.com and we found the whole process stressful and unprofessional.
