The place itself is quite nice, and the cleaners, catering staff etc were great and very friendly, with great breakfast. There is a small pool which is nice. However the reception staff are completely incompetent, and made the end of a 3 month trip very stressful.
After my first night's stay, after coming out of the shower, I was suddenly told I would need to change rooms, and was rushed to move my stuff. After checking, I was told that I would be moving to a large dorm without bathroom, when I had booked a 4 bed ensuite for 2 nights. When I told them I had booked that room 3 months ago, there was half an hour of standing around with half of my stuff outside before they realised it was somebody else in a different room that needed to move, so I had to move my stuff back. My bed had also been cleared already so had to be remade. They were thoroughly incompetent and caused a very stressful situation, apart from wasting my time. They were also going to move another girl's stuff from the dorm, as they didn't even realise she should still be staying there!
Also, on a late check in after a delayed flight a different receptionist said I would need a migration card otherwise I would be charged tax. It was only after checking on the internet I realised migration cards have not been issued since last year!
The other staff are brilliant and there was one good receptionist who checked me out, but the others make this otherwise good hostel a stressful place!
