Enjoyable stay, wonderful big room. Great location
Another good stay at the Old Vine. Warm welcome, great room and breakfast included. So close to Cathedral, shops, places to eat. I wish they had a car park, as parking permit is only available from 3pm.

Delightful Winchester stopover
A great place for a relaxing visit to this beautiful city of Winchester. Our large top floor room had lovely views across the Cathedral and town. So central, yet so peaceful. Walkable to just about anywhere here, including the railway station. A quaint old pub, with great accommodation and a very hearty breakfast included. Room facilities are excellent. Would recommend attending an Evensong service at the Cathedral… a great and spiritual experience, which doubles as an opportunity to explore this ancient Gothic masterpiece. We did this, with a bonus of a recital on the famous “Father Willis” organ.

The family apartment at The Old Vine where we stayed was an excellent accommodation. It's located in a separate building from the pub. There's a lot of space over 3 floors - the photos don't do it justice! The lounge is very cosy with a large sofa bed and armchair. The table in the lounge is suitable for doing work on a laptop etc. The WiFi connection was fine as well. The location of the apartment is very central - right next to the cathedral green, the city museum and the high street with lots of restaurants and shops. Other attractions (such as the hall with King Arthur's round table and the National Trust water mill) are within a walkable distance. The breakfast menu options are very generous, and the pub has good food options throughout the day. It was nice to be able to park the car in a space recommended by the host (detailed instructions are given) and enjoy some car-free time for a couple of days. We can't wait to go back to Winchester to explore it further, and The Old Vine will be our first choice of accommodation - to stay either as a couple or as a family.

Great room, food and staff
Lovely one night stop over at the Old Vine. We arrived on a sinday and decided to have a sunday roast in the restaurant. Highly recommended the restaurant, food and service was great. Staff are all very knowledgeable, friendly and polite. We were shown up to our room and was supprised at how big it was. Very comfortable and perfect location for a stroll around the town and cathedral. Slight down side was noise fron delivery vehicles early morning but the hotel had provided ear plugs and they worked a treat. We would definitely stay here again

Another wonderful stay!
This was my second stay at the Old Vine this year, and I have had another lovely time - excellent service from staff, and a beautiful, comfortable, spacious and clean room, with wonderful amenities. The breakfast is also amazing, and a huge selling point as it is included in the price. I will definitely be coming here again! Thank you!
