In poor condition, but not unsafe or uncomfortable
I needed a cheap place to stay in NYC and this was just about the only option under $300 that didn't have shared bathrooms (and even some of the shared bathroom options were over $300). The hotel itself is in pretty bad condition -- lots of furniture in need of replacement -- but the bed itself was clean and very comfortable. Hotel did not feel unsafe. Many rooms face Canal St. so definitely pack ear plugs.

Shower didn’t work had to leave the building and find shower elsewhere. Room service not provided. Room smelled like lat tenant smoked cigarettes and the staff didn’t care to accommodate. Definitely won’t be staying in room 412 again.

This Hotel was in Chinatown,10 minutes walk to Broadway and subways and trains.I killed 3 small cockroaches in my room. I’d rather stay in a cockroach free hotel next time

Okay Stay
Friendly staff with easy check in. Expect tax and service charges when you check in. They store luggages but you basically leave it at front desk by elevators and rely on camera for the safety of your luggages. Staff stays at front desk but not all the time. Amenities are provided but I suggest you bring your own. Not a quiet neighbourhood but it’s NY. Booked for relatively cheap price and given that it is NY, my stay was as expected.

Pretty sure they had a card skimmer, never used my card anywhere before here. I used it for incidentals here and a few days later was charged $200 on amazon. Dirty hotel, almost got stuck in the elevator, hair in the bathroom, friendly staff however, but I will not be returning ever. This place is a robbery.

Not worth the price
The hotel was on Canal street, exactly where I wanted to be. The quality, however was not worth the price per night. No desk service before 10am. Pay all your hotel fees upfront on your app, if you have to give your card, lock it immediately after. My credit card was used fraudulently. No breakfast, or complimentary coffee or water. Very small. The sheets were not changed. I will not book this $250 per night again.

The shower was constantly dripping, there is not a light in the bedroom area, other people’s hair still on the bed, there wasn’t a tv remote in the room (staff resolved this issue) but most importantly there was BLACK MOLD all over the bathroom and shower. $160 a night to stay in a room with black mold and hair on the bed. DO NOT STAY HERE

The clerk was very kind and helpful. The safe box wasn't working, and there was no hand soap or body wash until I asked for them at the reception. There was a lot of noise outside and lots of thrash, of course this is not to blame the property, I have no complaints about the hotel, it is just the sorroundings that are not so nice.

Great budget property in the heart of Chinatown. Bustling neighborhood with lots of life! Our view overlooked Canal St and the windows really did against street noise. You can hear neighbors in the hallway, though not a big deal for us. Clean accommodations with modest amenities, but the ac worked really well, there’s storage and a mini fridge, and the rooms are very spacious for downtown. Staff was very helpful and hospitable. Free wifi and security code to enter building for off-hours.
