Room pleasant if noisy as over the bar and with road frontage. Bed extremely comfortable.
On arrival we were told food only available until 6.45pm and outside due to a quiz night. Quiz night extremely loud and went on until well after 11pm. Apparently we had been sent an email informing us of this but neither we nor, our friends who arrived later have ever received this.
Breakfast on both days was extremely disappointing.
Very limited cereal choices (2), cooked breakfast was generally overcooked except for the mushrooms which were oyster mushrooms and barely cooked at all. All accompanied by sourdough bread only (no other choice available) which was inedible as, once toasted it could not be cut or buttered easily, it was so hard and brittle.
There was no choice of jams, only packs of strawberry, no marmalade or honey. Apparently they don’t offer any of these!!
All in all an extremely poor experience which let them down badly.
