WORSE THAN TERRIBLE
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. The place DOES NOT EXIST. Drove there to find it’s out of commission. Emailed the guy to say “hey I’m here” he informed me he cancelled all stays. FUNNY cause he or hotel.com thought it was a good idea to tell me. I asked the guy for a refund and he called me a “pompous American.” We had to find a new place to stay and hotels.com didn’t seem to care at all. In my opinion my stay that I hate to book last minute at higher rates should have been paid for by THEIR MISTAKE. But nope, nothing. And they wouldn’t even approve giving me a refund for the California Lodge. Instead their respond to me was basically “well we need to verify with the owner but we can’t get in Touch with him so we’re keeping your money.” I even sent them screenshots of the email where the guy confirmed he cancelled stays. ABSOLUTELY absurd and terrible customer service. I will NEVER book on hotels.com again and I strongly recommend no one else does either!!!!!!
