L'Alpin is based in the little village Landry, close to several of the best ski areas of the French Alps. Just up the hill lies Vallandry, part of the Les Arcs system, and with access to the La Plagne area too - not too far away from Val d'Isere/Tignes as well.
The hotel was built in 2017, so it is super fresh, and holds a high standard. There is an efficient drying rack in the bathroom (necessary after active days), and the bed is pleasantly firm. A minor negative is that there is no fridge in the room, but when we were there it was cool enough to keep things in the car instead.
There is a popular restaurant in the hotel, and we tried out some local dishes on one of our nights there., and the food was well cooked and plentiful - excellent steaks, and yummy cheeses.
The staff is friendly and multilingual, nice that one can make oneself understood despite not having studied much French :-).
There is free parking on the little community common outside (maximum parking time 24h at a time), and there is a local train station, so one can easily take the train to Bourg-Saint-Maurice or to Aime if one wants to go to slightly bigger shops without having to think about parking there.
