There’s was no one at the front desk when we wanted to check in. Just a phone number to call. Extremely inconvenient for tourists. We Walked had to walk, in the rain, to the tourist information office and get the lovely lady at the office to call the hotel. However, even she couldn’t get through, the number just rang and rang. By luck, after the 3 attempt of walking past the hotel and checking the front desk a lady was there to let us in. Later that night we went out for and came back, @ 8pm to a dark unlit hotel. All the lights were off. The hotel sign and the hallway lights. It felt like they also turned off the heat. We later discovered the hallway lights were on a timer, the trick is, you have to find the small button in the dark. Not very welcoming at all, and downright creepy imo. Thankfully we didn’t get locked out because I’m not sure we would be able to get find anyone to help us. Finally, The bed was pretty uncomfortable. Wouldn’t want to stay there for more than one night. There are plenty of other hotels in Bacharach.
