Having being privileged enough to travel the world, we have seen our fair share of hotels and apartments. We knew upfront that Edin Island would be an artificial experience, but we chose to stay her as we where assuming we could get a couple of days with comfortable accommodations. At the end of a three month vacation, little did we guess that this place turned our to be the least comfortable stay of them all. We received message that the apartment was ready for us and an checked in an hour later. The second we opened the door we where greeted with a disgusting smell of urine, filthy floors, old clothes in the laundy bag, bugs under the couch, toothpaste stains in the sinks. food remains everywhere, only to be topped up by feces left by the previous guest in the toilet. Wanting to cancel our booking, we confronted the manager and she gave the impression that she was surprised that we where expecting more from the apartment. There was no chance she would discount/cancellation, clearly not to worried about service after she received her payment. At least she taught me a lesson; do not judge a book by its cover.
