We stayed for 1 night at the Ashmount hotel, we only met 2 members of staff during our stay & they were both friendly & helpful, we were personally shown to our room which was a lovely touch. The room ‘Amos Ingham’ looked over the garden & the dales so the views were spectacular, the room was clean & had a very comfortable 4 poster bed, there were coffee, tea making facilities & shortbread biscuits, there was also complimentary sherry & glasses which we thought was a lovely touch. The bathroom was small with a step up to the toilet & shower, the basin was loose probably due to people holding on to it to get down from the step, & although the shower was very good it was too big for a small cubicle.
