There was a hurricane this day, not VVF's fault indeed.
Quite a few things might have gone better though :
We arrived at 4:15pm and the reception was supposed to be closed. Fortunately, someone (friendly) was there to help. However, the room was not ready until after 5pm.
The parking is far from most cottages and we had to walk under the torrential rain & wind :-(
No soap in the cottage.
And other details which are unsettling for a hotel but probably okay for a summer rental. Like no wifi, no courtesy tray, no tea nor coffee anywhere. Need to provide 24 hours notice for dinner. And a car is compulsory.
Again, location might be okay in summer, not so much in winter (or spring).
