The Kingslodge Inn was chosen as it was close to the town centre, had good car parking and well reviewed food!
We did choose to venture into town one of the days, and it was about a 10 minute walk away, just the right distance to be 'close enough' without actually stopping in the town.
Second 'must' was a decent car park, the Kingslodge has a great little car park, feels nice and secure and just tucked away enough so you feel safe leaving your vehicle parked there.
Last on the list was food, we had breakfast both mornings, with a continental buffet followed by a cooked to order hot choice - all were superb! We also enjoyed evening meals on both nights, these were also of excellent quality, all served by excellent attentive staff.
My only criticism, is that maybe the rooms couls do with a spruce up, mine was a little tired around the edges, but the bed was comfy, nice bedding and a TV/coffee making facilities.
A nice touch was the offer to trade your first days cleaning for a free drink, helps using so much cleaning products and was more than happy to get a free drink instead - great initiative.
Would happily stop here again, and recommend to others!
