Husband & I planned a trip for our 28th anniversary. Wity thr current economy, we felt it was very important to support local businesses at every possible opportunity, so instead of staying in a hotel, we chose an overnight stay at this beautiful BnB. I love historical homes and was very happy thay our room (the Tara room) was in the main house. Our hostess was extremely friendly and helpful (even suggesting a place to get dinner, which ended up being every bit as amazing as we had hoped). Bonus was Sadie, her sweet & gregarious goldendoodle. Sadie didnt fail to keep us entertained. Bed was comfy and the house was very quiet. Even being on thr ground floor at the front of the house, I didnt hear any traffic outside or from anyone inside. House is very well air conditioned, so while you get the atmosphere of history, you get modern day comforts.
My husband is not usually a bed & breakfast type person, but even he was impressed and said I had found a great place to stay. Would definitely return!
