Comfortable- not fancy
No complaints- rather old but reasonable. Only game in town. Cereal and muffin breakfast.

The room was clean and relatively modern. The outside of the hotel is a bit dated and not visually inviting. But the price was good and inside the room was fine. Convenient location near Carlsbad Caverns.

Pretty much exactly as expected - reminded me of the roadside motels we stayed in when I was a child in the 60's and 70's (but renovated since then of course). Nice quiet vibe to it, low key, good value.

Pros: Clean, very quiet. We stayed here because it’s located so close to the Carlsbad Caverns, fantastic location, just minutes drive to the park enterance. There’s a gas station and a little grocery store right across the street. We did not use the pool but it was sparkling and clean. Cons: No ice machine on property but the front desk clerk told us to bring our drink container in and she’d give us ice for it, which she did and that was nice. Breakfast is individual cold cereal cups and packaged muffins. Overall, we really liked this place, great remote location.

It was ok, for the price you can get better.
It was ok. For $100, I'd expect a little bit more. It has the benefit of being the closest motel to the Caverns, and that's why they're able to jack up the price so high. For an extra $10, you can generally get a much better experience at a cleaner and more franchisee place. However, if you're just needing a place to sleep before visiting the Caverns in the morning, this just does that. The curtains are not black-out curtains though, so don't expect to get a lot of privacy unless you cover them up with something of your own.

Lacking for price!
The sleeping area was large, as well as the bathroom, which was nice. The bed and pillows were comfortable. But, the floor felt a little dirty. the TV was non existent, and the breakfast consisted of a pkg muffin, apple juice, piece of fruit, cold cereal in its container with only Vit whole milk. We feel it was over priced because of this. Other accommodations had better breakfasts for the same price, just farther away from the Caverns.

Not impressed.
I travel a lot, stay in a lot of hotels, and this place was not impressive. Good things: close to Caverns, beds were reasonably comfortable, AC and fridge and microwave all worked well. Bad things: hair left on walls of bathroom and shower, shower curtain torn, no plug in sink, big rip in one chair, strip of duct tape between tiles and carpet did little to protect bare feet from the tacks / staples, security chain on door dangling loosely from one flimsy screw, breakfast a total joke (packaged muffins and cold cereal), and when our key cards stopped working on second day, person at front desk had no idea how to solve the problem. I have no idea how this hotel has such a high rating. Note: If you stay in White's City, come prepared. Grocery store across the street is poorly stocked (though gift shop is extensive) and cafe closes at 3:00pm.

Right next to Carlsbad Caverns National Park
We stayed at five different hotels during a road trip. This was our favorite hotel of the trip. It was a great value for the price. A family-owned property that was very convenient to the Carlsbad Caverns.

One night stay
It looks like it was built years ago. There are telltale signs, but the remodel looks good, and everything was clean. Most everything is newer. The important items anyway. And the room was a little larger than most. When we got there around dinner, the receptionist directed us to some events at the caverns that evening. We were very glad she pointed that out. The next morning we realized they didn’t replace the shower curtain, but the morning receptionist took care of it right away. Very friendly folks. Just stayed one night. Breakfast was the bare minimum with one table inside. Don’t expect much there, but everything else was great.

Solid motel
Nice motel in New Mexico close to both Carlsbad and Guadalupe Mountains National Parks. Not a lot of amenities, but “Whites City” has a few options. There seemed to be a lot of house flies. I think I killed 4 in my room! Not sure if I let them in when I entered or they came in around the spaces around the door. Room had a nice table and chairs in addition to a king bed and large bathroom area. Refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker worked well
