Nightlife on Hong Kong Island consists of 3 lively districts, called Wan Chai, SoHo, and Lan Kwai Fong. These areas are well-known for their range of bars, pubs and clubs, most of which stay open (and busy) until the next morning.

Some parts of the Hong Kong Island can be rather seedy, but for the most part, the nightlife scene is fun and fancy. In SoHo, you’ll find upmarket lounges and rooftop bars with impressive city views, while Lan Kwai Fong’s mid-range bars and clubs are usually busy with office workers and business execs after-hours. Check out our guide on where to go at night on Hong Kong Island.
