Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (MNCARS), or the Queen Sofía National Museum Art Centre, is the Spanish national museum of 20th-century art. It was inaugurated in September 1990 in honour of Queen Sofía and is located at the southern end of Madrid's Golden Triangle of Art. The museum showcases art from throughout the 20th century, from the turn of the century through the new millennium.
MNCARS is mostly dedicated to showcasing and promoting Spanish art, though it does maintain a sizeable collection of international works as well. For art enthusiasts, it's one of Spain's premier destinations.

It is famed for its collections of Salvador Dalí and Pablo Picasso works, as well as works by international artists like Richard Serra, María Blanchard and Wolf Vostell. Some notable works on display include 'Guernica', 'Equal-Parallel/Guernica-Bengasi', 'Woman With Guitar', and '6 TV Dé-Coll/age'.
Other Spanish artists represented include Luis Gordillo, Lucio Muñoz, Juan Gris and Pablo Serrano. Notable international artists on display here include Francis Bacon, Sarah Grilo, Max Ernst, Robert Delaunay, Yves Klein, René Magritte and Henry Moore.
