The best restaurants in Dundee won’t leave you hungry for options. Yes, there is traditional Scottish fare such as haggis, porridge and black pudding, and you’ll find restaurants that take advantage of local and seasonal produce. But the city is also rife with cuisines from around the world.

If you’re in the mood for barbecue, you’ll find West African and Caribbean influences, while Italian restaurants lure hungry diners with pizzas and pasta dishes. Mexican restaurants offer traditional tacos and burritos alongside more inventive dishes, and you can even treat your tastebuds to Mediterranean and Thai options. All you need is an appetite and an enthusiasm for culinary exploration.

Bridgeview Station is housed within an iconic Victorian station on Dundee’s waterfront. Patrons can expect casual dining with local seasonal produce and gorgeous views over the River Tay. Bridgeview Station was based on the original design of Dundee’s Magdalen Green Station and you’ll also find a 1870s railway carriage that serves as the restaurant’s takeaway outlet.

The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch. Hungry diners can load up on the Bridgeview Breakfast, which includes Falconers steak sausage, Falconers black pudding, a tattie scone and much more. The lunch menu has an eclectic variety of sandwiches, from beer-battered haddock to bahn mi baguette and lighter fare. Finish your meal with something sweet; we like the sticky toffee pudding.
