This unit was advertised on Expedia in the hotel section. It is not a hotel. There is no on-site management. I had to pick up the key at night at a hotel 20 minutes drive from the unit. Not speaking Italian, this was very difficult particularly since it was raining and cabs were almost impossible to find. In the morning, there was very limited cell and no Internet. I was only make able to make it to my morning appointment because a neighbor let me use their Internet connection to get transportation.
Communication with the property manager was very slow and inadequate, both before and during my stay.
Later when I inquired, I learned there was Internet, I just hadn’t been informed of it, and there was no notice inside the apartment
Making matters worse, there was no heat on a very cold two nights stay. I inquired, and the property manager said the heat would not be turned on until later in the month! The single blanket provided was not adequate.
The bedroom is up a very narrow flight of stairs in a loft with a low ceiling. The bathroom is downstairs — very inconvenient.
Overall, a terrible experience, and on the first night, trying to get the key and navigate to the unit, frightening.
The property manager was uncaring and arrogant.
Rent this apartment only as a last resort. And don’t put yourself in a position of having to pick up the key at night.
