We booked this place at very short notice as just a stopover on our road journey from the Alps to Calais.
It look nice and the reviews were good with particular emphasis on cleanliness.
Its a very tricky place to find with quite a difficult access into a small courtyard parking area.
The 5pm to 7pm check-in makes your evening very rushed as there's a welcome glass of Champagne at 6pm, clearly something that you would miss by checking in at 7pm.
After a long days drive the whole check-in was not a nice experience when all you want is your room and a quick shower.
The room itself was lovely and with a good standard of cleanliness and large area.
We opted for the 75 euro for two evening welcome meal, not having the time to explore for a restaurant and very glad that we did.
It was a simple affair as stated, of cold meats and cheese with a selection of cakes and a bottle of champagne. All very nice and with extremely generous portions, so much so that we shared just one plate.
Its a lovely building and beautifully renovated but we just didn't feel welcome.
There's so many rules that you must do and things you must not do. Many are perfectly understandable and to be expected, but put to you in a very forcefull way verbally and with notices, quite unpleasant.
You get the impression that you should be very pleased that they've allowed you to stay at all!
Its potentially a great establishment but the team really does need a lesson or two in hospitality. Such a great pity.
