Management DEFINITELY needs to retrain some front desk agents to be sure they’re all following protocol & properly informing guests of hidden and unexpected CHARGES so that the guest can decide to use different cards or leave altogether. Hotels.com needs to do a better job of including ALL charges & taxes etc so there are no surprises when we get to the property!!! And Marriott needs to get a grip on the $100/day incidental “hold” that adds up to A LOT of extra money on hold for the 5 days you’re there!! I was PISSED! No warning… nothing! And when you’re already on a tight budget & have no extra money to eat because of said hold?? No. That’s messed up! And, no, that’s not a universal hotel policy. Also, I was there from Tue night to Sat afternoon and, other than a knock at 8:30-9AM one morning, MY ROOM WAS NEVER CLEANED!!! I had the privacy tag on the door on Wed because we were moving son to dorm & had stuff everywhere & didn’t want to have to reorganize. No one came Thursday and the lone knock came while I was still in bed Friday morning, and that was that. I even asked front desk to let them know to clean. Not sure what happened, but not cool. The property itself is decent enough location-wise, clean, nice, etc, but the walls & windows & doors are paper thin -you hear EVERYTHING! It’s quite jarring at night when trying to sleep. And whomever thought a sliding barn door for the bathroom needs to never design hotel bathrooms again!! Brekky was decent, staff were mostly nice
