We've returned to Keswick three times during the past 12 months, and we will do so again many times into the future. This is "our" go-to 5 Star resort for a mini-vacation...the best in Virginia.

Keswick Hall is an amazing property if you are looking to stay just outside of Charlottesville in a quiet area but still have all the amenities you could ask for. Their rooms are beautiful with gorgeous marble bathrooms. So many little touches that make a difference like having controls for the room lighting by each bed. Breakfast at Marigold was delicious. We got coffees and pastries at the little shop near the lobby on our last morning which was also wonderful. The property is so peaceful and pretty to walk around. We haven’t gotten to enjoy the pools as we have only visited here in early spring but they are beautiful as well

First time staying at this property. It lived up to all expectations. From David, who greeted us at the door, and after seeing my mobility issues, told us to leave the car in easy access parking space at the front door. To the room, which was beautiful and clean and to the front desk staff who were very helpful.

What a hidden and unexpected gem. Our suite was spectacular and the balcony overlooked the well groomed and maintained golf course. The attached restaurant was top tier for food quality, options and service. We had an amazing spa experience that was on the same grounds. I would highly recommend the resort, restaurant, and spa.

Amazing remodel. Every detail was thought of. Just hoping in future another restaurant is added.

Keswick's renovation took the resort to the next level...that is even if this was possible. The entire facility is an expression of greatness...a gem...a Magnum Opus in the heart of Virginia. The room was perfect...5 Stars, and the Marigold Restaurant (by Jean-George's) .was one of the finest meals I have ever had anywhere in the world. As they say...the quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten. The is a MUST destination if you haven't already enjoyed the splendors of the Keswick Inn.

Excellent property but had issues with WiFi-their microwave to heat danish was not working and the ice machine.

There is only one suggestion that I would make. My husband and I had an 8 am tee time. Being diabetic, there was nothing in the coffee shop I could eat. I suggest hard boiled eggs, fruit, etc. Also, we are early risers so something other than a sweet would be good.

I checked in late, about 30 minutes before 9pm food service stopping. Customer service is amazing. The manager pulled up the regular in room dining menu when we were at the bar. We didn’t want just bar small plates (which are good). I didn’t want to have to pay extra fee for in room service & offered to pick up food. I got a generous pour of wine and my food was delivered within 20 minutes to my room w no fee. This is one of my favorite places to stay anywhere. Only thing I would change is the shocking hold charge for a room. $290 for a 1 night stay? Every other hotel is $50 for Hilton/Marriott/Hyatt or $100 for fancier hotels.
Allison, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

This was our first visit to Keswick. We were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The common areas and grounds are truly spectacular. Decor is fresh and modern with a nod to the history of the area. The design capitalizes on the views which are gorgeous. Our room was lovely and spacious with high tech lighting. Bathroom was lovely and large with many special touches. We also had a private patio overlooking the pool area. Especially enjoyed the complimentary mini bar. Evening turn-down service was a nice touch. The infinity pool area is really outstanding with views of the golf course and mountains. Very relaxing and heated pools extend the swimming season. Service in the coffee bar was the best. We had dinner on our first night at Marigold's. Meal, service, and ambience were all outstanding. The 2nd night we had a causal dinner at Crawford's. It was horrible. Entire order was wrong, and it took forever to mostly get what we ordered. And the food we did get was poor quality, still not correct, and not good. Worst of all the server never apologized. When we explained all that was wrong her response was "Absolutely". What??? Later the manager came by and apologized and comped our meal which we appreciated. But it never should have happened and when it did someone should have apologized. The dinner experience was ruined. All in all we loved Keswick and will likely return. But we will never go back to Crawford's.
Frank, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

I liked the Old Days of Elegant Keswick.
This is our first visit since 2016, prior to the renovation. The service was great, the rooms are excellent. Valet was free. The bar tenders were very knowledgeable. Although a thin selection, they have room service The “upgrade” in the property that is really a downgrade is exchanging the elegant Fossett’s restaurant with the overly causal and confusing Marigold’s. The marigold menu has pizza, raw bar and fried chicken (NOT bone in) on a menu that has no them. The wine list is good, but very expensive and I had a situation where the wine was “bretty”. Of course the service was great and all problems taken care, but the casual nature and thin menu isn’t suitable for the history and style of Keswick. Finally, there was a “rookie mistake” when the valet let us drive off without our car key. Since all cars are “keyless”, the backup key in my wife’s bag allowed us to leave without noticing that the valet did not give us the key before or after loading the car. Of course, management overnight the key, but it was a hassle. I still can’t figure out my bill from them. It’s not cheap, and they do not make a big deal out of room service receipts, but I still have trouble putting it together. I was asked about how “eco-friendly” they are now. It’s an absurd question for a luxury resort and cost, give me choices, class and clarity and we’ll worry about “the planet” at the Motel 6.
