Ideal place to stay
This place is great - very quiet, great rooms, clean and attached to the best pub and restaurant in town.

Great Pub, clean & comfy room
Clean and comfortable, but somewhat dated. Check-in was quick & easy. Car parking was a hassle as there are more rooms than car-parks and we didn't arrive until later in the afternoon. Being a Friday night, the Pub was very busy, but we still managed to find a table for 2 in the decked beer-garden area, service and meals were very good.

The Caledonian Inn has done a great renovation. We loved the furniture. Our room was tiny, but had everything we needed. We loved eating at the Stump.

It was perfect for the weekend we had planned.
Loretta, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The Caledonian is an interesting old pub, but the rooms are near the outside beer garden so the music was able to be heard until late on Friday and Saturday nights. The staff were excellent.
Ian, 2-night trip

Very quiet, room awesome, couldn’t fault a thing
Barbara, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Nice rooms avoid the food.
Rooms have clearly been refurbed, but it’s almost like they ran out of money half way through… original sinks stay, no usbs by the bed, etc. Comfy place the night though, although I would say avoid eating in the attached pub… this was my lamb roast dinner… nope not a child’s portion but the one they served me. Ironically saw a locals roast go out to him and the plate was full. Clearly not valuing guests… Couldn't be bothered to argue in a busy pub, so walked to the nearby BP service station and got something to fill me up!

Highly recommend. Beautifully renovated. Appreciated Room 6 as it is a good distance from the hotel and the music. Super comfortable, super clean, well appointed.

Property centrally located & within short walking distance to local attractions. Pub & Restuarant attached. Very comfortable bed & brilliant water pressure from shower head. Would benefit further by supplying a microwave in each room.

We absolutely loved our two night stay. The motel rooms are spacious and have everything you need. The Inn has just had some renovations and everything is great. The pub is from 1844 so interesting to see. Very nice pub meals are served. The staff are very nice. When you arrive checkin is in the Inn's bar.
