I was staying at this hotel because I went for the balloon fiesta for the first time. I booked 2 days not knowing what to expect and the website said the morning session was 430am until 12pm noon. The fiesta was over by 9am pretty much. The hotel was a 10 minute drive to the park by Lyft, but it took forever to get a driver because of the traffic. The hotel itself was nothing fancy, but clean, basic free breakfast, and close to what I was going for. I asked the front desk clerk, Cesar, very friendly, since the fiesta was over am I able to check out a day early and get a refund of the 2nd night? He told me to follow up with the 3rd party because the hotel was not booked directly thru them. I asked him if he can please make sure to have that i checked out before 11am and that i would call hotels.com. I reached out to hotels.com and they spoke with manager Daniel and the agent Karla was told no and to contact the hotel directly. At this point I'm disappointed I'm losing out on $187 for an unused night. She also was not even able to offer me a credit. I knew I'd be playing phone tag or he said, she said, so I have to take the loss.
