The Reef House is in a quiet part of the island. We went for relaxation and diving. The first night we snorkeled at night in the ocean pool and saw octapus, shrimp, flounder, small eels, and huge urchins.
My older son wanted to fish, so they arranged a day of fishing and visiting a shallow area where nurse sharks and rays hang out, so we got to snorkel with them. We caught a bunch of tuna and they cooked it up for us for dinner. We went during the end of August, which is the slow time. We had every reef to ourselves.
Davitt, the dive master was just the right pace for us, slow, with the flow. We had amazing wall dives, a night dive that was right in front of the Reef House. Cootie was our captain and he kept us entertained between dives.
A lot of locals come to the house bar. We really enjoyed meeting people from different parts of the world that live in Roatan now.
