Nicely appointed hotel that I have stayed before. Good location and good value for the style of hotel. Unfortunately, a few issues for me and a colleague this time with maintenance. Cold rooms as the heating did not work and needed to be fixed and my colleague has a clogged toilet. There were also union protests one morning at the hotel at 7am waking guests up. Otherwise, it's a comfortable spacious room with good facilities and a nice restaurant. Staff were efficient in fixing problems.

The staff are super friendly. Loved the text messaging for communication. Food is also very good. Very dog friendly and the grounds have a few spots for dog relief. Close and clean. If you want a fridge in your room, you will need to ask in advance. Same with coffee but I was able to get coffee from the lobby after a dog walk in the morning. Very tasty. Overall, loved my stay. Will be coming back. Also David the general manager is super kind and walked my dogs for me while I was recovering from a medical procedure. He misses his own dogs. What a great place. Only sad thing are are the union stickers. Guests should not provoke them, they come back more often when guests get upset at them. But honestly, can’t they just get another job somewhere else???

Rooms should be ready by checkin time!
Check in was 3:00. We got there a little early and waited for our room to be cleaned. 3:30 rolled around and we asked the front desk when our room will be done. He said they were finished cleaning but an inspection has to be done. Waited for another 15 minutes and asked how long does an inspection take. He said they have only 1 inspector for the entire hotel. By 4:00 we finally was able to get to our room. The next morning at 7:00, protestors were banging drums and chanting through loud speakers outside the hotel. Other than that, it’s a nice, comfortable hotel.

Obviously, the hotel is being renovated or under new ownership. When I first arrived, you entered two doors and there’s no indication where you go to check in. There are two clear options, Lobby Bar or Restaurant. The woman at the bar, before I could ask, said “No, down the hall.” Once I located the check in counter, the checking in process was a non-issue. My room was okay and I would describe it as dated and rickety. Beware that there is no coffee maker in the room. It definitely did not feel like a luxury hotel. Dining - For dinner, I went to the hotel restaurant. I went down around 6-6:30 pm. No staff was in sight. There was one patron sitting at the bar. I decided to sit a few seats away from them. I sat for what felt like 10 minutes and the m sure was on 5-6 without one staff member coming out to check on the customer or see if anyone new had come in. Almost to the point of me choosing to leave and find dinner elsewhere. Finally, a bartender came out and I was able to look at a menu and order food. The food was fine.

Place was nice but price was too much
There were riots outside the hotel during our stay which is not a pleasant experience. Cost was way too high for parking plus additional charges or package that requires you to offset with their restaurant consumption.

Property is ok but extra fees are so ridiculous. $70 for parking per night a $54 resort fee per night is a lot, more than the rate per night I initially paid. Will not come back, there are plenty of decent options around
