Checkin was smooth and efficient. The room was really beautiful as was the hotel interior. The furnishings were beyond what I expected. With the large desk and fast and reliable internet, I was able to conduct online business meetings. I loved the in-room refrigerator. The bathroom was unique in that there was a bathtub.
My only real issue had to do with a small detail. Their Orbitz listing very clearly indicates that there is a breakfast included with the reservation, even on their discounted listing which lists the room as $25 with $5 discount. When the reservation comes in from Orbitz (Expedia) to the hotel, it says breakfast excluded. There is some data issue that makes it appear one way to the customer in the listing and a different way to the hotel in the communication from Expedia to the Hotel. Rather than investigating the matter, I was told that I was wrong and that I would have to pay 10.000 Colombian pesos per person for each breakfast. Even weeks after my stay, the listing still shows the free breakfast. After wasting hours on the matter, I was given hotel credits, but it was more because I was raising a stink and never did they truly investigate the matter to acknowledge and correct the error.
Another small issue is that during the day, the hallways are not illuminated. For the most part, there is ample daylight to allow one to see, but on the top of the stairs from second to first floor it is dark, and someone might miss the first step.
