What more can I say that hasn’t been said before me, everything bad you’ve read and heard- really is as bad as described. The Highlights of our miserable two weeks stay:
basically the worst reception team I've ever came across (except for this one guy who was lovely) such vulgar and rude women. We arrived after a 16 hour journey to a room full of spiders and dirty towels, we tried to call reception but there was no answer antil the next morning at 09:00 and even after they answered, we had to wait a few hours antil we got clean towels. The reception are never there, they rarely pick up the phone and even if you go down to the lobby you’ll wait for about 15 min for them to show up and dismiss you as fast as they can.
The hotel keeps on trying to charge you for things you didn’t purchase which is a disgrace.
There isn’t really a beach to this hotel, you have to pay $ 22 a day to sit comfortably with an umbrella(addition to the 36 dollar per day they make you pay for nothing).
We have stayed at the shelborn for two weeks and when I called reception in the morning of September 18 ,after 3 hours of trying to get an answer, and asked a two hours late check out the girl that answered said if I’ll stay a minute longer than 13:00 she will charge me a full night rate and hang up the phone to my face.
there is a saying - when you buy cheap you’ll end up paying the most expensive possible. Save yourself the agony and pay a little more for a normal vacation.
