Our initial room was excessively dirty and smelly with cigarette burn marks on the carpet and bed spread of our non-smoking room. There was loose dirt and plaster on the carpet and what appeared to be blood on the a/c and drapery. The clerk was very accomodating an switched us to the room next door but it was minimally improved. The room was extremely hot as they turn off the a/c when the room is not in use and it takes a couple of hours for it to cool enough to rest comfortably. The clerk say it recently came under new management and they are trying to redo it. In my opinion, they need to try much harder. The stairwell to the upper rooms needs a good cleaning, there were spider webs near the ceiling and a layer of dirt on the base boards. The only area that seemed to have the air conditioning turned on was the office area. As for the pool, it was grossly neglected, green and closed. The breakfast in the morning was scant and the waffle batter tasted sour. There was also coffee with condiments, bread for toast with butter and jelly packets, a box of cereal, and near empty gallon of milk.
I hope the management pulls it together because this property really has potential to be a great little stop.
