This is not a hostel. This is a few rooms rented out in an old building. Everything you need to sleep and clean yourself is here, nothing more. The room has a bed and table, and nothing else. The corridors are narrow, and there's no plan or exits in case of fire, except going out the window that you may or may not have in your room.
When I arrived, I was surprised to learn that I had to pay an extra 10 euros for a cleaning fee. They claimed it was because the room has to be disinfected because of coronavirus. This is probably true, but in the case of this room, changing the linen on the bed and swiping the floor will be a complete disinfection of the room. There was nothing else to clean. I asked about this, and was kept waiting for half an hour while the receptionist was talking to someone at Expedia, and they didn't seem to agree on anything.
In the end I just paid up. I was, after all, in Lisbon to see Lisbon, not to listen to people talking on the phone.
I think there must be many places in Lisbon with much better value for money, despite this being a relatively cheap option. Also, none of the employees here wore a face mask. I asked about it, and they said the face mask thing is just a stupid requirement from the government, so there's no need to wear one.
